About the Project

Every year, The National WWII Museum produces and broadcasts a live, virtual program that teachers can show in their classrooms. This program, the electronic field trip, focuses on different topics related to World War II. In the spring of 2023, the electronic field trip focused on how the United States home front mobilized for the war effort. In previous years, classroom teachers had requested activities for students to complete that would prepare them for this program. To fulfill this request, I created an e-learning interactive that teachers could assign to their students before the program was broadcast. I met with subject matter experts on the US home front to determine the content that would need to be highlighted in this activity. I designed the interactive with Rise and Storyline 360. In order for students to be able to send their responses easily to their teachers, I created an email button on the results slide with Java Script code.
